During our week long stay in Costa Rica we visited Marino Ballena National Park and entered the park at the Uvita. We paid the entrance fee and walked along the beach to the Whale’s Tail.

We visited during high tide. The experience at this attraction varies quite a bit depending on the tide. There was a stream we had to wade though that was about thigh deep at it’s deepest point. Having our dry bag really came in handy.
The walk was beautiful and peaceful.
When the tide is high the Whale’s Tail is covered with water. During low tide the sand and rocks that form the Whale’s Tail are exposed. We walked out to waist deep water on the Whale’s Tail to experience the waves converging and crashing. It was a unique experience. We were able to capture some video of our time on the Whale’s Tail.
